Understanding the Organisation

This stage of the Business Continuity Management lifecycle is fundamental in establishing the most effective way of preparing the organisation against business disruption impacts which have the potential to seriously suspend or fatally damage it.

We will conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) activities with your teams to understand the urgency of activities conducted by the organisation and the resulting impact over time when they are disrupted due to an incident occurring.

Working with the Business Impact Analysis information, we will conduct a Continuity Requirement Analysis (CRA) to estimate the resource dependencies (such as estate & technical) each activity will require when they are resumed initially and then to return to normal operation after disruption.

Risk Assessment (RA) activities help us to understand the known threats to the organisation. These might be industry related, environment related or might be due to the system architecture in place within the organisation as examples. We’ll conduct this process in order to be able to estimate the likelihood & impact on specific activities if these threats occurred.
