Multi-media messaging service goes 'Live'

'Disaster Alert' - the new messaging service offered by DisasterComUK, has now been included within the Incident Management processes of an International client.

The 'stand-alone' mass-messaging tool gives administrators (such as Business Continuity Managers) control panel access from any location via the internet. Standard enabled features include;

  1. Voice alerts- the recipients phone rings and on acknowledgement, the responder is given instructions verbally (such as directions to join a conference call)
  2. Email alerts- emails are sent out along with the option to attach a key document for each user group (such as a Business Continuity Plan for example)
  3. SMS alerts- An SMS is sent out. This can be used to compliment the Voice Alert by giving more information or direction as required.

There are no software or hardware requirements for this user-friendly messaging system.

Examples of the systems use include;

  1. Disaster Invocation- To alert, direct & convene Incident/Crisis Management Teams
  2. Internal Communications- To send out staff communications, capturing those people who may not have access to their emails
  3. Human Resources- To attain the safety and whereabouts of all staff (by acknowledging any of the alerts, the response is captured by the tool)

Demonstration workshops are underway currently.
