What our clients say
Bradley Mead – MD, Ericsson Services Ltd:
"DisasterComUK bring a wealth of experience, determination and delivery to our business. Each team member has a specific skill set that lends itself perfectly to the development stages we require. They all promote enthusiasm in Business Continuity Management and have engaged an enormous number of Ericsson personnel in a very short time. DisasterComUK have successfully delivered and facilitated several exercises including two live full-day Disaster Exercise scenario events for us, engaging people from all levels and really helping us embed the BCM culture into our business. Along with testing our Response capabilities against some stretching objectives, these exercises also assist us in testing ‘business as usual’ reactive processes.
At Ericsson we have embraced DisasterComUK and the BCM processes they introduced to the point where we have now even introduced BCM into our appraisal process. They continue to demonstrate to us their enthusiasm of the BCM industry, their continual passion for excellence in service delivery, but most of all their desire to grow our company organically by working with us to deliver a comprehensive Resiliency programme that stands us apart from our competition and enables us to 'lead from the front'."
Colin Brown – Operational Risk, Chelsea Building Society:
We have been pleased to work with DisastercomUK who have provided us with consultancy services regarding our approach to both Incident Management and Business Continuity. They are helping us with applying the industry best practice in a relevant and pragmatic way for Chelsea Building Society. We have been impressed with the willingness to share and contribute ideas and the depth of industry experience.
I am looking forward to a continuing business partnership with DisastercomUK as our Business Continuity arrangements develop and mature.”
Ingrid S.Gall - Emergency Planning & Resilience Officer, Shetland Islands Council:
DisasterComUK developed, delivered and facilitated a one-day exercise around a maritime scenario to the strategic and tactical responders of the Shetland Resilience Forum.
This exercise attracted an eager response from all the Cat 1 Responders, the Local Port Authority and shipping companies within Shetland. Organisations represented from outwith Shetland included the Scottish Government, Maritime and Coastguard Agency, TRANSEC Maritime and Special Operations Response Team (Scottish Ambulance Service) bringing the total to around fifty players on the day.
The number of people and organisations who wished to be involved in the exercise resulted in DisasterComUK using all their creative talents to develop challenging injects, which, in turn resulted in some interesting responses. Individual injects were created for the exercise participants at both strategic and tactical levels. As part of the day, the media were allowed access to the players to ask for information and updates. The exercise then finished with a press conference and a debrief.
Employing a company such as DisasterComUK to develop, deliver and facilitate an exercise has been very worthwhile. It has provided us with a fresh and very worthwhile focus on how we train and exercise and where we can make changes in future.
At the same time as addressing these issues this type of exercise also delivers in different areas such as integrated emergency management, effective response and recovery, business continuity, co-operation, risk assessment and communicating with the public – all inherent in what we do on a day to day basis.
I look forward to working with DisasterComUK again in the future and have no hesitation in recommending their skilled, helpful and friendly approach to developing and delivering a range of civil contingencies solutions.
Stephen Morgan – Business Continuity Manager:
I recently had the opportunity to work with DisasterComUK Ltd on a project in the Financial Services industry. DisasterComUK staff demonstrated an exceptional level of professionalism throughout. Their Business Continuity Management practitioners are subject matter experts in their respective areas, and were able to very quickly absorb the working practices and culture of the organisation concerned, such that they could deliver quality solutions and materials to the exacting requirements of the customer. DisasterComUK, and in particular thanks to the personal commitment, management and leadership shown by their Managing Director (Scott Carver), delivered quality work on time and on budget. I look forward to working with DisasterComUK in the future.
